From Wanting to Quit to Debuting Novice with Kerry Donoghue - #236
Q: What would be your one bit of advice you would give to somebody right now?
If you went out there and you've tried and you've made a mistake, then you're in that growth zone. If it's not quite gone to plan, ask what you learned and where you go next, focusing on learning rather than just the result.
Chiropractic Secrets for Better Riding with Mary Young - #232
Q: How can riders start integrating sensory awareness into their training and care for better performance?
Develop sensory acuity by paying attention to subtle body cues, both in themselves and in their horses, and use simple checks (like pre-ride assessments and guided movements) to detect and address hidden compensations before they become injuries.
Chiropractic Secrets for Better Riding with Mary Young - #232
Q: Can you explain what chiropractic actually is, and what a chiropractor does?
Chiropractic focuses on the nervous system and how input signals from the body guide the brain and muscles. It involves identifying where dysfunction lies—tissue, joints, or fascia—and restoring overall function so movement becomes more balanced and efficient, not just cracking joints.
Regaining confidence after crashing into a fence - #223
Q: What did you learn from your experience with the warm-up before the jump?
Create more time, start earlier and plan your warm-up properly to avoid rushing.
Regaining confidence after crashing into a fence - #223
Q: What advice would you give someone who is about to go in for a jump after a disaster?
Remind them that they're not alone and to have a mental recovery routine ready for pressured situations.
