Jimbo is the best there is. The betting ads leave a sour taste but easily skipped. Think they miss the depth of Football Weekly and it’s pundits like Phillipe Auclair on the big important stuff like FIFA - which Max Rushden ruins. But the regular commentators here are hard to beat. Duncan Alexander getting increasingly annoying though with being pedantic and insistent on having a constant commentary verdict, nice to hear Jimbo cutting him off now. Again shows Jimbo’s prowess.
It’s a shame that I rarely now listen to the Monday or Thursday shows.
The Euro Show is the only one where there is unbiased opinion and actual flow between the hosts. Elsewhere its stats, tactics, stats in between the attempts at humour.
The occasional extra show is good value, when it’s not about the Champions League when the chaps explore something more interesting with genuine enthusiasm.
Jimbo get a grip and get your contributors to stop talking over each other. It’s unlistenable
Good content
The show does a good job summarizing the league action (although I never understand why they do review before all games are played). But Daniel storey literally cannot complement Arsenal. If they win 3-0…the other team played well. If Arsenal win 1-0, Arsenal got lucky. But if any other team gets these same result it’s “dominance” or “the mentality to get a win”. Daniel is tje worst kind of journalist - no data, just his biased opinion.
