I loved experiencing the World Cup with Rick and Lloyd! Thanks for the unique perspective and please do it again; Euro’s, Ladies World Cup, Olympics (football only, of course), cathedrals, fire engines of the world…pretty much anything.
This used to be an excellent podcast, focussing on football (and all the characters of the game). Unfortunately they lost that focus a long time ago and there are still too many in-jokes and book promotions and no true insights. Can’t anybody simply approach the game front on anymore?

This show blends fast-paced football news with expert panel analysis and occasional game formats that test storytelling and credibility. Episodes frequently feature established journalists, former players, coaches, and fans offering tactical context, governance chatter, and on-pitch anecdotes from the Premier League, EFL, Scottish football, and European competition. A recurring strength is the ability to translate complex transfers, governance decisions, and managerial changes into accessible, often humorous conversations, with a notable within-series segment that fact-checks football stories through crowd-sourced claims. A standout trait is the mix of high-profile guests and deep-dive discourse with accessible banter, making it engaging fo... more
