  • Big six

Very informative if you’re a fan of the perceived big six. With just a cursory glance at the rest

  • Get rid of Leventhal

Absolutely gutted Adam Leventhal seems to be the new host. His weekend preview was unbearable. Now, he’s the main host instead of Ayo?

  • Fifa

Appreciate the discussion about the FIFA uproar. But other than Infantino’s not popular, you and Laura McAllister didn’t explain why his plan was an “existential threat”. It sounded, the little it was discussed what the plan actually is, like a good idea to raise money for soccer nations. Maybe since Europe has plenty the “threat” is they don’t have as much control.

  • Mostly The Usual European-biased Drivel

Read the critical reviews they all say the same thing. One positive point is that the recent pod on FIFA/Infantino/Private Equity proposal was one of the most balanced discussions on its positives and it’s negatives that I have heard or read. To their credit they do point out that a lot of the rest of the world believe European football is actually the problem with England in particular leading the way. That’s why two stars. It would have been one if they had not acknowledged that. So maybe the... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ornstein transfer latest: Enzo, Barcola + Alvarez
Q: if the transfer market ended today, who is your signing of the summer and who do you expect to be most active going forward?
Ornstein notes Sangare as a standout value pick for Brentford and highlights that several promoted clubs have exceeded expectations; he also predicts significant activity from Liverpool and Chelsea as deadlines approach, with City remaining heavily involved in potential midfield targets.
Ornstein transfer latest: Enzo, Barcola + Alvarez
Q: will Man City make Enzo Fernandez the most expensive midfielder in Premier League history before the transfer window shuts?
David Ornstein suggests there is a strong chance City will pursue Enzo Fernandez as a world-record midfielder, though Chelsea would require a suitable fee and it remains contingent on negotiations and the willingness of both clubs to strike a deal.
Is Infantino's exit now inevitable?
Q: Laura, when did you first hear about the plans and what was your immediate reaction?
We heard about the FFE proposal at the same time as everyone else, with no prior consultation, which underscored a governance breakdown and spurred us to mobilize quickly against what we saw as a catastrophic move.
Spain conquer the world + Ornstein's summer transfers
Q: Are there specific clubs looking to sign players from this World Cup, and who could be targets for top clubs?
Clubs across the Premier League, La Liga, and elsewhere are monitoring talent from the tournament, with continued emphasis on midfielders and forward options such as Alvarez and potential wingers; Arsenal and Manchester United are mentioned as potential suitors for central roles and forward options, as teams plan disruptive moves to push to a higher level.
Spain conquer the world + Ornstein's summer transfers
Q: Which handful of players from the World Cup will be getting the biggest transfer boost?
David Ornstein identifies several names showing strong transfer momentum post-World Cup, including young midfielders and attackers who performed well; senior players like Rodri may see renewed interest, while others such as Manu Kone and Gilmoura are highlighted as beneficiaries of strong performances and availability.
