The guests are always top-notch and offer great perspectives and expertise. The host brings nothing to the table besides giggling at his own jokes and cutting the guests off when they are making interesting points.
Good content and footy stats however to many betting advert. Though I really like the host Ayo.
Used to love the pod but what with the Athletic doing away with ad free listening for subscribers and the amount of betting ads now in the episodes, feels they have sold their souls for a quick buck. Probably shouldn’t be surprised being a US company. I’ve now found better alternatives out there such as Libero and bbc football daily
I completely agree that u guys should be making more stuff bout stuff outside the prem but other than that great pod
They have some incredible reporters, but according to The Athletic, everyone is tosh. Even when a team is on top of the world, The Athletic proudly awaits their downfall. When a team is bad, they pile on top of the negativity. Seemingly no one is fit enough to win the premier league.
Once again, the reporting is quite good, but this can’t be the only football podcast you listen to. Otherwise, you will forget the sun still exists above the clouds.
