  • Great Insight into Home Health/Home Care World!

Great opportunity to learn about how the industry operates from a high level. While this show is intended for those in the homecare/healthcare industry, I think consumers could benefit from the show as well. I enjoy how Tim is willing to probe a bit and not just ask softball questions to these industry leaders. I just subscribed and look forward to listening to most if not all future episodes.

  • Excellent!

Tim Mullaney kicked off the inaugural podcast with an excellent interview with Shelly Sun, co-founded of Brightstar. The pace was good and I was pleased that it did not waste a lot of time in pointless dialogue; something that is too common with other podcasts.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Adam Lewis — GM, Talent and Workforce Management, Viventium — Founder, Apploi
Q: What predictions do you have for the healthcare job market in the second half of 2026 and into 2027?
Demand will stay strong with tight labor markets; the winners will be those who think strategically, hire and onboard faster, and get employees paid quickly, using holistic workflow design supported by automation and AI.
Adam Lewis — GM, Talent and Workforce Management, Viventium — Founder, Apploi
Q: What are the main challenges providers face in staffing, and how can technology help?
The main challenges are high turnover, long onboarding times, and the need for faster, more transparent communication with candidates. Technology can streamline onboarding, enable mobile-first engagement, and provide data-driven insights to speed up hiring and reduce burnout.
Adam Lewis — GM, Talent and Workforce Management, Viventium — Founder, Apploi
Q: How did the acquisition come about, and what does it mean for Viventium, Apploi, and home-based care providers?
It was a natural evolution of a long-standing partnership where Viventium resold Apploi products; the merger creates a healthcare-specific, end-to-end platform aimed at reducing friction across the caregiver lifecycle, from recruiting to payroll, with a unified data set to improve efficiency and outcomes.
Joseph McDonough, Founder and CEO, Innovive Health
Q: What are your company's main areas of focus for the rest of 2025?
We will continue to deepen our relationships in communities, focusing on innovation and quality care.
Joseph McDonough, Founder and CEO, Innovive Health
Q: What are some of the biggest regulatory concerns in the space right now?
We deal with regulatory concerns on a state level, primarily focused on labor challenges and resource allocation for recruitment.
