This is the perfect place to go for those who choose to reject reality and create a more palitable explanation that will not challenge their firmly held delusions.

  • A most important topic!

I just listened to "Michael Medved discusses the Center on Wealth, Poverty & Morality" and am impressed and encouraged to hear a discussion on such important ideas. There is a great battle going on for hearts and minds, and I'm sure that this podcast will become a great resource for those who love the traditional values that made America great.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Winston Ewert: The Ancient Roots of Modern Materialism and Scientism
Q: Can you elaborate on the idea that false narratives about the history of science can mislead modern perspectives?
If one assumes the church consistently opposed science, or conversely that the church always triumphs, it distorts how we evaluate current scientific questions; a more balanced historical view helps us see why certain debates persist and how to engage them more clearly.
Winston Ewert: The Ancient Roots of Modern Materialism and Scientism
Q: Wow. So Winston, let's start with this. Why did you write this book?
The motivation was to explore the history of how Christianity and science interacted before modern science, to understand the roots of current debates and to show that many questions have deep historical precedents.
Johannes Kepler and the Mathematical Rationality of the Cosmos
Q: What is Cosmic Comprehensibility and why is it central to Kepler's thought?
Cosmic Comprehensibility is the idea that the universe is intelligible because it has a rational, mathematical structure that can be understood by human minds, reflecting a divine rationality behind creation.
The Trouble with Transhumanism: Wesley J. Smith’s Guest Appearance on Bioethics Babe
Q: For listeners new to the term, what exactly is transhumanism?
Transhumanism is the idea of a post-human species achieved by seizing control of human evolution through technology, with goals like extending life and enhancing intelligence.
On the Origin of “Tall Blondes”: Correcting the Record on Giraffe Evolution
Q: Why is the giraffe such an important case to study?
The giraffe is known for its exceptionally long neck, which raises questions about the evolutionary processes that led to its unique anatomy.
