  • Truth in a Time of Lies

This podcast is just what I need; deep thinking in bite sized portions. It reminds me of what is true and good in an atmosphere of lies.

  • Suggestion

It’s a good podcast however it can be difficult to listen to at times. This is because one of the cohosts yells when he talks. He talks very fast at a high volume and it’s somewhat stressful to listen to as they go back-and-forth between a calm slower, normal talker and a fast yelling cohost.

  • This is bad

I just listened to an episode reporting that the genetic similarity of chimps to humans is more like 14-15% as opposed to 1-2%. They literally say after repeating this over and over again that it doesn’t actually prove or even reinforce any ID arguments. They insinuate some sort of intentionality behind the finding be “buried”. The hosts are the ones with an agenda, that much is clear.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Accidental Inventor: An Interview with Hal Philipp
Q: What thoughts do you have on the patent system and any possible reforms?
The patent system we have today is actually pretty good but doesn't protect small inventors like myself.
The Accidental Inventor: An Interview with Hal Philipp
Q: Could you talk a little bit about patent strategy?
The more patents you have, the stronger your defensive position is in case you're attacked.
The Accidental Inventor: An Interview with Hal Philipp
Q: How were you able to wrap your mind around the courage necessary to step out on your own?
I always knew that I could go back and get a day job. Having that as a backstop obviously helps.
Rockets & Wristbones: Optimal Engineering in Biology
Q: What do you think the most powerful examples of Intelligent Design are for someone new to the concept?
I would say the human brain, human hands, and human feet show us that we are very different from all other animals, reflecting intelligent design.
Rockets & Wristbones: Optimal Engineering in Biology
Q: How do you respond to claims of bad design, such as the laryngeal nerve being a poor example of design?
I argue that such criticisms show a lack of understanding of the complexities of biological wiring systems and their engineering principles.
