Very insightful and logical. I have a feeling Darwin will finally be proven wrong in my lifetime. The many idiotic supporters of his theories are not happy. Listen to the podcast and find out why 👍🏼

  • Suggestion

It’s a good podcast however it can be difficult to listen to at times. This is because one of the cohosts yells when he talks. He talks very fast at a high volume and it’s somewhat stressful to listen to as they go back-and-forth between a calm slower, normal talker and a fast yelling cohost.

What Separates AI From the Qualities of the Human Mind
Q: What predictions does your position make about AI's future capabilities?
The position suggests that AI will struggle with determinate, high-level reasoning and genuine understanding; significant breakthroughs would require strict verification and potentially quantum approaches, but true consciousness remains unlikely under current paradigms.
The Low-Confidence Science Propping Up Neo-Darwinian Claims
Q: What is the general idea behind the six criteria for confidence in a scientific claim?
They are meant to be applied as a spectrum, not a binary verdict; evidence should be repeatable, directly measurable or observable, prospectively studied, minimally biased, and with clearly disclosed assumptions, leading to reasonable claims under the studied conditions.
Winston Ewert: The Ancient Roots of Modern Materialism and Scientism
Q: Tell us about how you structure each chapter and the questions you address.
Each chapter tackles a scientific question (e.g., nature of matter, cosmos, biblical interpretations) by examining the ancient perspectives, then juxtaposing biblical context and historical Christian thought, followed by how modern science changed or aligned with those discussions, with independent chapters that can be read in any order.
Winston Ewert: The Ancient Roots of Modern Materialism and Scientism
Q: Can you elaborate on why false narratives about the history of science matter for today?
He explains that adopting a simplistic view of the church as always opposed to science can bias current interpretations of modern scientific challenges, and that a more nuanced, historical view helps avoid mischaracterizations in contemporary debates.
Winston Ewert: The Ancient Roots of Modern Materialism and Scientism
Q: Why did you write this book?
He wrote it because nobody else had written it and he became interested in the historical interactions between Christianity and science from the early church through the Reformation, aiming to shed light on how past debates illuminate current discussions.
