  • Too smart for his own good

Been a huge fan of WLC for many years however he’s now a liberal academic / intellectual who over analyzes everything. It’s disappointing to hear him today talk about Genesis being a myth. WLC believes one must be a scholar to understand the Bible and ignore the plain meaning. We apparently cannot interpret the Bible with the help of him and other elite theologians.

  • Good Apologetics, unfortunate politics

Longtime listener here. While I have a deep appreciation for Dr Craig and his work, I have noticed politics slowly creeping their way into the podcast. I view this as unfortunate but a sign of the times in America, I continue to listen, but with much less gusto as of late.

Question of the Week #963: Molinism and Maximal Greatness
Q: Doesn't Molinism risk making God look constrained by counterfactuals of freedom?
Yes, but such constraints do not limit God's omnipotence as a maximally great being.
Dale Allison on the Resurrection Part One
Q: What is the significance of the argument from silence in regard to the historicity of the events described in Matthew?
Allison challenges the argument from silence by emphasizing that absence of evidence in other texts does not necessarily indicate that an event did not occur.
Dale Allison on the Resurrection Part One
Q: How does Paulman critique Allison's approach to the reliability of the Gospels?
Paulman argues that Allison's interpretations suggest dependence on other Gospels, which could undermine their credibility as independent sources.
Dale Allison on the Resurrection Part One
Q: What are the primary distinctions between the minimalist and maximalist approaches to defending the resurrection?
The minimalist approach accepts evidence only from widely accepted facts, while the maximalist approach assesses the evidence based on holistic credibility and includes arguments not commonly accepted by all scholars.
Questions on Natural Evil, Demons, and the Soul
Q: How should I respond when I encounter people who refuse to hear out a rational, orthodox viewpoint?
You may advise them not to respond at all and to keep a low profile in the church to avoid divisiveness.
