  • Too smart for his own good

Been a huge fan of WLC for many years however he’s now a liberal academic / intellectual who over analyzes everything. It’s disappointing to hear him today talk about Genesis being a myth. WLC believes one must be a scholar to understand the Bible and ignore the plain meaning. We apparently cannot interpret the Bible with the help of him and other elite theologians.

  • Good Apologetics, unfortunate politics

Longtime listener here. While I have a deep appreciation for Dr Craig and his work, I have noticed politics slowly creeping their way into the podcast. I view this as unfortunate but a sign of the times in America, I continue to listen, but with much less gusto as of late.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

What About Baptism?
Q: Is that a fair exegesis of that?
Yes, that is quite accurate and provides a powerful reason to think that water baptism is a symbolic right that is not causal for spiritual benefits.
What About Baptism?
Q: Your thoughts on the importance of baptism?
Baptism is an expression of one's faith. It is an extremely important rite that every believing Christian should submit to because it is the culmination and expression of saving faith.
Question of the Week #966: A Mother’s Struggle with Gratuitous Evil
Q: How do I respond to my son's argument that if God exists, gratuitous evil does not exist?
It's important to highlight that the burden of proof lies with those asserting the existence of gratuitous evil and that we cannot comprehend the full reasons God might have for allowing certain evils. There are good theological reasons supporting the existence of God despite the presence of evil.
Does God Know What Time It Is? Part Two
Q: What do you think about the multiverse as an explanation for the fine-tuning argument?
Craig states that the multiverse does not provide evidence against the fine-tuning argument and raises issues around the Boltzmann brain problem.
Does God Know What Time It Is? Part Two
Q: What is your response to Emily's critique about your view on time?
Craig clarifies that his view is that God is timeless before creation and temporal from the first moment of creation, countering the misunderstanding that he is asserting a self-contradiction.
