  • Must-listen

The STR podcasts are must-listen for me. They are so good at addressing lies, misunderstandings, and false teachings on today’s social media malaise. They have helped me understand the wrong presuppositions embedded in modern thought: materialism and subjectivism.

  • Always Informative

I must’ve been listening to this podcast since 2020, I suppose. Heard about it from Jack Hibbs.

Greg and Amy are a great team and both of them bring terrific insight to common objections against Christian doctrine, and they tackle some of the current cultural issues.

They’ve consistently produced a couple of shows a week, which I enjoy listening to each Friday.

    Thanks to the STR team.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Would a Human Clone Have a Soul?
Q: Does brain activity or AI decoding thoughts disprove the existence of the soul?
No. Thoughts are non-physical, first-person, private phenomena; AI may translate brain signals but does not access or reveal the soul itself.
Would a Human Clone Have a Soul?
Q: Do anencephalic babies have a soul?
Yes. Even severely deformed or congenitally defective babies are human beings with a soul, and their sensory experiences are expressed as soulish activities.
Would a Human Clone Have a Soul?
Q: When do identical twins receive a soul?
They would receive the soul when they become individualized human beings, with the soul and body united in the human being through the process described (traducian view) or at the moment of creation in other views, with practical implications tied to fertilization and embryo development.
Would a Human Clone Have a Soul?
Q: Would a human clone have a soul?
Yes. A human clone would have a soul because a cloned human being comes into existence as a fully formed human with a body and soul, regardless of how it was produced.
Everyone Deserves Love and Happiness
Q: What are your thoughts on the statement, everyone deserves love and happiness?
They argue that without a God-governed standard, there is no objective basis for what people deserve, and that defining love and happiness apart from biblical anthropology leads to a slippery slope toward redefining marriage and desynchronizing moral boundaries from reality.
