  • Great food for your brain!

    Having just finished my second episode, the podcast is incredibly informative while keeping my attention. My most recent podcast I have subscribed to, I look forward to learning different aspects of history I never thought of, or gaining a new perespective on my existing knowledge.

  • Long Overdue and Well Done

    This should be added to every high school American History class to serve as the missing chapters on America's history during American slavery and the Jim Crow years. It is more than just African American history. This is America's real history, often pushed aside and relegated to a few short, nondescript sentences in books and a few sanitized documentaries during the month of February.   • Much Needed Historical Resource

    The Creative Tension podcast is taking an engaging look at history, using relevant information from the time period. I LOVE IT!! The Jim Crow Era is rarely taught about in secondary or higher ed. Normally we talk about slavery and then move to Civil Rights, which was almost 100 years later. I love what I've heard so far and I'm recommending it to everyone I know. Keep up the good work.

  • An incredible guide through the past

    Creative Tension offers an engaging walk through the Jim Crow past to dissect the dialogue happening today. The first two episodes offer incredible context into the new narrative and justification for the Confederacy and its monuments. While the voices and explanations can be chilling, I now have an even greater understanding of the nuanced and subtle bigotry that still exists.
