Her word choice is inconsiderate and not SFW. The politics and potty mouth tainted an otherwise informative show. If you ARE going to use your platform to take an off topic tangent to speak about politics or current events (which is your right), consider doing so from the positive angle (support for the oppressed) instead of the negative angle ("F" the oppressors).
Shanté offers a rare realistic, grounded, and ethical approach to LLMs. She is one of the few voices I trust to bring nuance to the topic of AI. If you’re interested in making the most of available technology to improve your life and live your values, but not align with technofeudalism, give it a listen. Keep up the great work Maestro and Meowstro!
The nuance of the ai topics and the understanding-all-angles approach is refreshing in this internet space where others seem to feel there is one right answer. I love that this podcast comes out as a long form newsletter too.
As always, I love and am deeeeply grateful for every resource Shante creates.
