The research is decently done.
There is a huge amount of time spent telling listeners how to feel, which is terribly annoying and feels pretty patronizing.
They also use a lot of cliches, even when the cliche doesn’t seem to fit the scenario.
Finally, it’s so obvious they’re just reading the material it makes everything sound like a quote. It actually gets confusing. It takes time to gain presentation skills, but it doesn’t seem like they’re aware that this is a problem.
I love listening to these two! They're so funny together and you can tell they actually like each other, which makes a huge difference. They do a good job researching the cases and they're not afraid to call the bad guys (or gals!) what they are - dirtbags…lol
What I really like is they keep things interesting but respectful to the victims and families. anything like. They actually care about telling the story right.
I'm usually a one-host podcast person, but Christie and Melissa have somehow made work. These two hosts have incredible chemistry without any of that annoying fake banter that makes me want to skip episodes…and the bloopers are like the dessert of the episodes 😆
The quality is absolutely top-notch—fantastic audio, editing, and none of those jarring volume changes that plague other shows. You can tell they actually invest in good equipment and know what they're doing. Seriously, it’s better th... more
I will miss you guys don’t go
These wonderful ladies give a great mix of the care to the victim, and the story of how the ‘Dirtbag’ got there. They deliver the story with care and a bit of a giggle here and there, while keeping so much dignity to the real story. This is a great podcast, and I look forward to every new episode.
