  • I knew him when!

Steev has been a constant source inside knowledge of the Boston (and beyond) Indy rock scene and I’ve been glad to know of him since the jitty pre Y2K era of 1999.

All around cool guy who likes cats and pro wrestling. The pod is worth a listen - just please get The Chelsea Curve on while I’m still able to hear it.

Q: Not intentionally. I think I was still recording covers and I took a break from formally recording things in 2021, which led to creating Is Hard and other tracks.
Not intentionally. I think I was still making covers on YouTube and stuff like that, but I took a break from like formally recording things in 2021, which gave me space to reassess and come back with a clearer direction.
437. Kerrin Connolly
Q: That's a good segue because I was going to get into the instrument. So the guitar was your first instrument.
Yeah, I would say so. Guitar was the first one that I needed to know what chords are, even though I also tinkered with piano.

Q: What's the big lesson you've learned from interviewing legendary performers?
Persistence and loving what you do were the common threads guests shared, which Sandy distilled into her own approach to building a creative career.
438. Sandy Skye Netburn
Q: When did you decide you wanted to be a musician, especially after your early ventriloquism work?
Sandy explains that the shift happened during the first Northeast Comic Con where a live guitar performance with notable guests made her realize she wanted to be a musician and not just a ventriloquist.
