As other reviewers have noted this podcast has a potentially interesting story at its core. However there is minimal available source material to tell the story fully, and as a consequence the three episodes basically repeat much of what was said in previous episodes. Also the sound quality of some of the interviews (including perhaps the one with most relevant to say) is so poor as to be rendered virtually unintelligible. Disappointed.
All three episodes feature frequently repeated outtakes of interviews and the whole show is explored by a fatally compromised narrator due to his deference to the Groucho club.
Although it was interesting to hear about his character and life, it was more like a tribute to Bernie rather than investigating who killed Bernie.
As another reviewer wrote, it was quite repetitive
Without a messy storyline, repetitive comments, boring name dropping and terrible sound this could be an interesting podcast about an interesting life and era. Sadly it is not. RIP Bernie, I don’t think he deserved this.
Interesting topic about a clearly very much loved character, the podcast repeats audio across all three episodes, to the point where you could be forgiven for thinking you were listening to an episode you have already played.. stretched out across 3 episodes could easily have been completed in two episodes. But he was clearly loved by many people and had some very loving and supportive friends, that support and love made it worth listening to
