  • Great job!

Thank you for producing a great podcast. Special kudos for Oni Logan and Vickey Hamilton. I was lucky to have seen Guns open for Motley in November of 87 in Greensboro, NC. I had already heard Welcome to the Jungle and loved it. I remember telling my brother that “these guys are going to be huge”. I did see the Use Your Illusion tour in Charlotte and Greensboro as well. It was still a great show but to be honest, it just was not the same after Steven Adler was gone. Thanks again and keep ... more

  • So satisfying

I just binge listened over the past few days to so many episodes of your show and it brought me so much joy and nostalgia. You remind me of Marc Maron with your ability to relate to your guests but with plenty of space for them to share their stories. Keep going!

  • The Ego Has Landed

He gets - somehow - some decent guests but I laughed out loud as he bragged about what a great interviewer he is - plot spoiler: he isn’t - and yet he’s been trying to get in touch with a previous guest who refuses to answer his calls. Hmmm, I wonder why?

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Glen Matlock, the Sex Pistols | Ep. 565
Q: What was the most important thing for you to get across in your autobiography and in the documentary that hadn't been said before?
Matlock explains that he felt skirted over for years and wanted to clear up misconceptions, particularly around songwriting credits and his role in the Pistols, providing a more complete personal narrative that could influence how fans and future bands view the history.
Adriana Smith, The Rocket Queen | Ep. 563
Q: When did you first meet the Guns N' Roses guys?
Adriana describes meeting the band through a sequence of nights in LA, meeting Stephen Adler and Duff McKagan, and being brought into their circle by Adriana Barbour; it felt like meeting a growing group that eventually became a family.
A strapping young lad named Devin Townsend | Ep. 562
Q: How do you answer the question 'Who is Devin Townsend' in a way that resonates with fans who may not know your work?
Townsend says he views himself as a transient, evolving artist with many styles, and he describes his identity as fluid, shifting with each project while staying true to personal growth and authenticity.
Carmine Appice: Cactus, Vanilla Fudge, and GN'R | Ep. 558
Q: Did you really invent the drum clinic, or was it something you popularized first in rock circles?
I didn't invent the drum clinic, but I was the first rock musician to actively do them, turning the concept into a recurring, marketable program that included collaborating with drum companies and producing a long-running series of clinics and a best-selling drum book.
"Estranged: Guns N' Roses & Use Your Illusion" author, Geoff Harkness | Ep. 557
Q: Did you conduct new interviews for the book, or was it primarily a synthesis of existing material and archival sources?
He notes that while some interviews existed (e.g., Rolling Stone, Interview Magazine), the book is largely a historical synthesis built from extensive archival material and previously published interviews, supplemented by his own research and the broader ecosystem of GN'R scholarship.
