紅葉 居士文章取自: book.bfnn.org/books2/1260.htm 緒言 諸君呀！今天我所要論的，是人們自殺的問題。人到了要自殺，何等的慘呀！照道理講，應該沒有這種事件發生。然而我們在報紙上，總可看見一兩件自殺的事，詳細的載著。自殺人數，在報紙上計算，已經一天多似一天。（近來報紙上卻不多見，據聞因當道禁載的緣故。）難道報紙上，能全數載上麼？恐怕未載的，正要比已載的多吧！據聞自殺而被人察覺，送往上海某醫院醫治者，平均每天三人。那末一個醫院，已有了三人。上海醫院林立，自殺人數之多，可想而知。倘然把全中國，各省各市各縣各鄉的醫院中，所救治自殺的人，一共計算起來，更可驚人了。（旁的醫院雖沒有每天三人之多，然據聞上海醫院每個月亦有近二十人。）一天的數，既已不可勝計，若積年累月的總加起來，諸君想想要有多少？唉！世間最不幸、最可慘痛的事，還有過於這自殺一途麼？許多可憐的眾生，... more

（戊）上海法藏寺興慈老法師，親口告訴我說：
天臺山方廣寺（即由興慈法師主持的寺院）有兩位僧人，原本是一起修行的道友。後來，其中一位僧人因為某件事不慎從石樑橋上摔下去摔死了。
有一天，還活著的那位僧人正在入定中（深度靜坐冥想），突然看見已經去世的僧人出現在面前。恍惚間，他跟隨著亡僧走出來，一路來到石樑橋邊。只見那已故的僧人忽然跳下橋去，墜落後血肉模糊，極度痛苦，場面慘不忍睹。不久，那亡僧的身體恢復原狀，說道：「我每天都承受這樣的痛苦。」
