I fell in love* with Charlie after reading The Paper Magician 2+ years ago (late 2021) and subsequently reading the about-the-author section at the end of the book, which mentions that she grew up watching Star Trek and her sisters all have “boy” names, too. I love this podcast. I started listening because I have been enjoying Charlie’s books and was looking learn more about writing. I stayed and listened to the rest because it felt like I was sitting around listening to friends chat about random stuff, which is such a comforting thing when most of your close friends are far away. And I learned stuff too! Love listening to this ladies.
I love the chemistry of this duo! It’s like listening to Good Mythical Morning for writers. Great and REAL information. So glad I stumbled into this channel.

Their good humor and penchant for fun makes this a really enjoyable podcast, too. I like feeling like I’m getting to just listen in on two friends discussing different aspects of the craft.
