  • So tired of pastors who think they know more than Synodical authorities

I forgot why I haven’t listened to this podcast in a while, & I chose 03/02/2022, re: dealing with enemies, to check it out again. Within minutes i was reminded why I have chosen Issues Etc.,The Word of the Lord Endures Forever, Steadfast Lutherans.org., & Gottesdienst, over ANYTHING from KFUO. Those podcasts bring us Christ, alone. This one brings you a sinful human pastor whining & complaining about Lent, & the somber tone of Lent, & how agonizingly too long Kent lasts for him. Then he exalts h... more

This is my favorite theological podcast to listen to. Not only are Pastors Matt and John hilarious, but they present the truth of the scripture in such an easy to understand, yet informative way. I highly recommend!

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Tithes, Cheerful Hearts & God's Love
Q: How should we view the 10% tithe as Lutherans or Christians in general?
No, I don't think the 10% applies at all. I think it was an Old Testament ceremonial law. God wants all of your time and everything you're doing to be done in faith and love to the neighbor.
Easter Doubts
Q: Have you ever had to answer that question as, why is it that God allows good things to happen?
Constantly questioned why bad things happen to good people, particularly in contexts of faithful families experiencing difficulties.
John 17: What is Jesus' prayer for you?
Q: How does a Christian live in the world?
Christians are called to be witnesses in the world, sharing the Word of God while being kept safe from evil.
John 17: What is Jesus' prayer for you?
Q: Why do they call it the High Priestly Prayer?
It represents Jesus fulfilling the role of a High Priest by interceding on behalf of his disciples before God.
Walking on the Water - Mark 6:45-52
Q: Why did Jesus want to pass by the disciples while they were in the boat?
It may be that Jesus was waiting for them to notice Him and cry out for help, showing His presence in their fear.
