  • Alternative history

Sounds like they’re twisting American history through a modern progressive lens—pushing the usual oppression narrative, focusing more on race and power than on what actually shaped the country. They downplay the role of faith, natural rights, and Enlightenment ideas, and instead try to reframe everything to fit today’s ideology.

  • Wonderful!

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed learning about the events leading up to the Revolutionary War.

This podcast paints a vivid picture of the colonies during the French and Indian War. It was so complex! Jim and his team do a great job breaking it down, keeping it interesting and somehow very relatable. Can’t wait for the next episode!

  • Really enjoying this unconventional look at this time.

I’m enjoying the approach to topics, and storytelling, that looks at a broader cultural and practical context for the Revolutionary War. I wish the episodes came out a little quicker but I appreciate the care being put in.
