Well I was going to retract the review I left 4 years ago but then I made the mistake of listening to some recent episodes.
If you enjoy interesting historical music discussion, punctuated by close minded leftist paranoia, it should be right up your alley.
If you have a different political perspective, don’t worry, he’ll just dismiss you as a racist.
Took a bit off effort to get into initially but definitely worth the effort. I like the deep dive into concordances episodes the best. I am enjoying trying to catchup on all the old episodes.
I've been loving the podcast since I found it a few months ago. The Puirt na Buel links that guest John Charles highlighted in episodes I've reached have reignited a Gaelic language and song interest from years past.
If you love the old dance tunes, pipes, stories behind tunes, tune collections Wetootwaags for you
Coming from the GHB side of the coin, Jeremy has opened my eyes to the world of historical music from the border region and bellows blown pipes. He gives great advice and relevance on the tunes he plays and provides insight on where to find those rare pieces to learn for yourself. Highly recommended.
Fantastic podcast. Beautiful musician. I deeply appreciate the low key and skilled knowledge that is shared here.
