  • Super BASIC content on “AI Revolution in Wealth Management”

This episode felt like it was recorded in December of 2022. There are so many significant AI changes since the last 6-7 months and none of that was covered. Instead there was some average chit-chat about the importance of summarisation and workflow tools. There was also a mention about privacy concerns using AI tools like ChatGPT. That was solved by Open AI 2 weeks ago with ChatGPT Enterprise - they have a SOC2 compliant enterprise offering that organizations can use to integrate with.

Why Advisor Capacity Is the Future of Growth with Steve Gresham
Q: Could you walk us through the four levers and how they would apply in a real partnership like SEI and Stratos?
The four levers start with stronger headquarters capabilities and unified tech, then hybrid capabilities that blend digital tools with human advice, continue with level three focused on retaining and expanding the addressable market, and finally level four for acquiring new clients. In a real partnership like SEI and Stratos, you would leverage permanent capital to fund these improvements, use hybrid models to extend advisor capacity, and use digital-capabilities-driven education and planning journeys to reach a broader client base.
Why Advisor Capacity Is the Future of Growth with Steve Gresham
Q: How does advisor capacity translate into enterprise value, and what practical steps can firms take?
Advisor capacity is about how many good-fit clients can be supported with the current time, tools, and people. To translate into enterprise value, firms must expand capacity across the whole organization, not just add advisors. This involves better HQ processes, intelligent tech, and coordinated services that let the firm serve more clients without compromising quality.
Why Advisor Capacity Is the Future of Growth with Steve Gresham
Q: Steve, let's start with defining these terms. What do you mean by organic growth and why does enterprise value matter?
Organic growth is the business expanding on its own by keeping clients happy, doing more for them, and attracting new clients—net flows drive it. Enterprise value is what a sophisticated buyer would pay, defined by client retention, smooth operations, and growing profits without breaking things. Together, they form the framework for understanding how capacity and efficiency translate into durable value.
Advisor Shortage, AI, and the Next Growth Model with Vlad Golyk
Q: What will the winning wealth management operating model look like in the future?
Dominant archetypes will include mega-platforms, boutique specialists for ultra-high-net-worth segments, scaled independent platforms, and AI-native digital offerings that serve future accumulators, with large incumbents advantaged by scale and tech investments.
Advisor Shortage, AI, and the Next Growth Model with Vlad Golyk
Q: What are the most important issues and implications of the shortage for firms today?
The shortage makes advisor time the binding constraint; firms must shift growth from recruitment to productivity, centralized lead generation, and teaming, with AI playing a central role in enabling more client coverage and deeper relationships.
