  • Jack

Batman without Robin might be almost as effective against supervillains, but is only half as fun, and as soon as Jackson is absent, well, it shows (even without the visual part). The latest episode mixing, lower volume, muffled sound, lack of… a wingman proves it one more time. Just buy his banana peels startup and bring hime back already.

  • Jackson!

I’m going to miss Jackson! Jack is funny and entertaining but the back & forth with Jackson makes the show even better. Good luck with the composting company.

  • Barron’s, pay Jackson more!

I’ve never EVER leave any review on the Apple Ecosystem. But Barron’s you need to pay Jackson whatever money he wants to bring him back full time. I listened to him slamming In n Out like 100 times that day on repeat while on the train. Also Jackson I wanna have your babies!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Future of Discount Flying
Q: What do you think is the future of ULCCs in America after Spirit's exit?
ULCC presence will persist but grow more slowly; the segment will not expand as aggressively, and price competition will now occur among several major carriers in capped, multi-airline markets rather than being driven by a single ULCC, while still offering low fares in high-competition routes.
The Future of Discount Flying
Q: The market share that Spirit gives up, does that go chiefly to Frontier and JetBlue? And is it enough to move the needle for them?
Yes, Spirit's exit is expected to materially alter supply in markets like Fort Lauderdale, benefiting Frontier and JetBlue the most, though both have been cashflow challenged; the shift could help lift fare dynamics and contribute to a more rational pricing environment as capacity adjusts.
Space, Freedom, and Physics Envy
Q: With renewed momentum in the space industry, how should investors think about opportunities across the space value chain?
Focus on companies that already generate real cash flows, especially aerospace and defense players, rather than pure play space firms that lack current profitability; avoid overpaying for space-focused ETFs and consider stock-picking with low fees and diversified exposure.
Blowout Earnings, Food Dividends, Psychedelic Stocks
Q: What's driving the earnings surge beyond home-building or canned soup?
The discussion centers on a lopsided mix where energy and tech (notably semiconductors) are powering the upside, with financials performing strongly and a looming question about whether the pace continues.
Blowout Earnings, Food Dividends, Psychedelic Stocks
Q: How would you characterize the earnings performance so far of US companies?
Golub suggests the season is broadly strong, with upside driven by semiconductors and energy, and cautions that while certain sectors look robust, the sustainability hinges on macro factors and cyclicality.
