  • I’d love to have a beer with Jack

Barrons Streetwise is one of my favorite podcasts. I get insightful knowledge about key trends and current interests - offered up in an easy-to-listen-to manner. I would love to have a beer with Jack. Sure, he is smart but he doesn’t take himself too seriously and doesn’t profess to know everything on every subject. I relate to his sense of humor and enjoy the banter between Jack and his producer Alexis. Keep up the great work!

Talking Points

A Compost Man Talks A.I. Vibe-Coding. Plus, Agco’s CEO.
Q: What kind of adjustments have you had to make to continue to do well during this tough period for farmers?
We went through essentially five different transformations all over the last couple of years including investing $2.2 billion in creating a precision technologies business and streamlining operations.
Frothy Valuations and Fancy-Pants ETFs
Q: Aren't we assuming that those companies paying those dividends would not have reinvested that money to create extra returns?
Yes, those companies might have reinvested that capital for growth, but they should also be rewarding shareholders when profitable.
Frothy Valuations and Fancy-Pants ETFs
Q: What's keeping me from leveraging that good old S&P 500 strategy?
Using leverage can amplify both gains and losses, potentially making downturns especially harmful.
Frothy Valuations and Fancy-Pants ETFs
Q: Is it possible there's a new normal, a new baseline for price to earnings?
Yes, there might be a new normal for P/E ratios due to changes in the economic environment, but there's also a risk of viewing the market as inflated.
Gold, Debasement, and Henry VIII
Q: Are these completely speculative, or is there some truth to the potential of these assets?
There's definitely potential to use crypto technology to change the way money is zipped around the world, but that doesn't necessarily mean that XRP is going up.
