  • Jack

Batman without Robin might be almost as effective against supervillains, but is only half as fun, and as soon as Jackson is absent, well, it shows (even without the visual part). The latest episode mixing, lower volume, muffled sound, lack of… a wingman proves it one more time. Just buy his banana peels startup and bring hime back already.

  • Jackson!

I’m going to miss Jackson! Jack is funny and entertaining but the back & forth with Jackson makes the show even better. Good luck with the composting company.

  • Barron’s, pay Jackson more!

I’ve never EVER leave any review on the Apple Ecosystem. But Barron’s you need to pay Jackson whatever money he wants to bring him back full time. I listened to him slamming In n Out like 100 times that day on repeat while on the train. Also Jackson I wanna have your babies!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Everything Pill
Q: How would you describe the uptake of these medicines and the trajectory we're on?
Uptake is in the early-to-middle innings with robust US growth around 30% year-over-year; the market is expanding not only in the US but globally, driven by oral formulations and new indications that widen the addressable market.
Perps, Buybacks, Bond Funds, and Women's Basketball
Q: Has Caitlin Clark's Nike deal materially affected Nike's numbers so far?
The impact is still evolving, but the Sabrina UNESCO sneakers and Caitlin Clark's signature line are seen as needle movers that expand brand reach and could pressure demand in both youth and broader consumer segments.
Perps, Buybacks, Bond Funds, and Women's Basketball
Q: What are your thoughts on the national debt and how to prepare for potential outcomes?
The story likely ends with moderate to higher inflation and the strategy is to own long-term assets like stocks that can keep up with inflation while maintaining some ballast in bonds for stability.
Perps, Buybacks, Bond Funds, and Women's Basketball
Q: What are perpetual futures, and how could they relate to SpaceX?
Perps are perpetual contracts similar to swaps used to exchange cash flows, with funding payments to keep prices aligned with underlying assets; SpaceX was discussed as an example of how offshore perps can attract attention around IPOs and lead to regulatory considerations.
Perps, Buybacks, Bond Funds, and Women's Basketball
Q: Why don't companies report stock awarded to employees in the same year as buybacks?
Companies report issuance separately on the cash flow statement, which nets stock issuances against buybacks; this helps compute shareholder yield by combining dividends with buybacks while accounting for issuance.
