  • Mostly Great

Really like most of the episodes, especially with Benz interviewing. But this latest episode with Mike Pyle saying nothing with a lot of words was worse than useless - a waste of my time. The interviewer (not Benz) did a poor job by not holding him to giving coherent answers to the questions, just blah, blah, buzzwords and technical jargon, blah, blah. (Or maybe I’m just too dumb to comprehend?) Again, mostly great content, but this last interview was so bad it made me angry enough to review.

Excellent: thoroughly discusses the latest research on asset allocation and financial theory with the most knowledgeable and experienced guests. They do not dumb down content for novices and target an audience that understands finance and investing.

  • Good

Morningstar is an excellent company. I don’t think you can beat the market using it but it has great information and I wish I had invested in it years ago.

The show is structured like a generic interview, wasting too much time delving into the backgrounds and personal details of the guests instead of focusing on their specific expertise. I would prefer a format that is more conducive to learning, as that’s why most people listen to these podcasts. Given the high quality of most guests, an interview format more akin to the Rationa... more
