Brett Arends is an interesting writer who in a typical British way is predicting catastrophe. It’s good to listen to the doomsayers and consider their opinions.
Not sure I would trust a financial planner (and author!) that says “funner.”
I’m a longtime listener of this Podcast, but I do not like Amy or not. Her slow and erratic, speaking with long and awkward pauses between words is hard to understand.
She needs a more fluent way of delivering her message and questions in order for me to understand what she’s saying
The most recent podcast was terrific. It encompassed various useful topics that the average investor could use. Great guest and conversation.
Great show. Relevant and interesting topics with interesting guests. Christine Benz and Amy Arnott are excellent interviewers! However, I’m not a big fan of Ben Johnson’s interviewing style.

Episodes frequently cover withdrawal strategies, income diversification, market history, macro policy impacts, and practical planning tools tailored for high-knowledge, self-directed investors and financial professionals. A standout aspect is the emphasis on robust, data-driven frameworks (e.g., adaptive withdrawal rules, model portfolios, and scenario planning) rather than quick-fix tips, making it valuable for listeners who want rigorous, actionable guidance and a clear view of how theory translates into real-world planning.
