  • AI Host?

Is the host an AI? It’s like I’m listening to a one way job interview. Also feels like she is talking to an audience of middle school kids.

  • It’s time

I’ve listened through some rough times. There is good content to the show but the host really doesn’t appear to have a grasp of any of the topics. Markets, economics, retirement, she is holding the show back. Ivana is limiting the learning for the audience.

  • Good advice in small bites

Another great podcast in the Morningstar family. I use this show as a teaser into diving deeper on various topics in the Morningstar platform.

  • Please change the host!

I listen to this podcast regularly. A lot of helpful topics are covered by the knowledgeable guests that are invited.

But I get turned off by the host. She just reads the questions already prepared by someone. She does not demonstrate any knowledge of what is being discussed or does not react in any way to represent how an ordinary listener might react.

If you want to hear an example of that, listen to “The Daily” by New York Times.

Bond ETF Flows Just Flipped. Here's What It Means for You
Q: Now, there are three types of shorter term bonds, ultra short, short term bonds, and short term government bonds. Can you explain how they work, what they invest in, and for how long?
Short-term funds cover zero to five-year maturities with varying allocations: some focus on corporates, some on Treasuries, and some mix both. Ultra-short bonds sit at the very short end (roughly zero to 12 months) and are the least sensitive to rate moves, offering stability and lower yield, while short-term government funds concentrate on Treasuries and government agency securities. The core distinction is maturity and rate sensitivity, which shapes risk and return profiles.
How Big Tech's Bond Spree and Rising US Debt Are Creating Risks and Opportunities
Q: What should investors watch regarding AI-related bond issuance and concentration risk?
Investors should monitor the share of AI debt within the corporate bond universe, as concentration can reduce diversification and amplify risk if AI investments underperform.
How Big Tech's Bond Spree and Rising US Debt Are Creating Risks and Opportunities
Q: Why can government debt be managed differently from corporate debt in the context of rising deficits?
Governments can adjust money supply and taxes, which households cannot, allowing longer-term debt management strategies, though at the risk of inflation and political constraints.
How Big Tech's Bond Spree and Rising US Debt Are Creating Risks and Opportunities
Q: What signals does Alphabet's 100-year bond send about investor demand for long-dated AI-related debt?
It shows there is a strong appetite for long-duration, high-quality bonds among investors, driven by high baseline rates and a belief that these issuers can monetize AI investments over extended time horizons.
10 Exceptional Stocks With Double-Digit Dividend Raises
Q: Are there any caveats?
Yes. The list is limited to the universe Morningstar covers (about 1500 stocks), may exclude smaller energy and utility names, and the 10% five-year requirement can be affected by timing of raises; sometimes a five-year window doesn't perfectly capture the earnings-supported payout growth.
