United States3 years ago Media covering warfare tends towards two extremes: Jingoist bullshit on the one hand, hand-wringing 'war is hell' moralism on the other. Virtue finds and chooses the mean. War Stories is a well researched, well written, and decently delivered take on the subject with a focus on the humanity of it all, while still following the thread of an important concept which forms the theme for a given season.
The episodes are bite sized half hour deals, perfect for a commute. A++ would recommend.

Decent podcast but they selected very distracting background music and it’s way too loud and at times is almost as loud as the talking. I just gave up after 3 episodes.
