Felicity is a true storyteller. Her insights are the least annoying of all podcasters. She’s concise and spot on, always. Her research is excellent and she references all of her sources. It’s refreshing to listen to an intelligent podcaster who doesn’t make you sick after a couple of hours.
If you're trying to advocate for victims and their families by telling their stories then leave your hateful political opinions out of it. It's insanely exploitative and hypocritical.
I still believe the host has a good heart underneath her self-proclaimed hardness, and I find many of the stories she covers very interesting. But I’ve lost my ability to listen. She has seemingly become more and more right-winged and extremist over the past few years and goes on very emotive rants expelling her conservative-Christian views. She’s also not open to opposing views or any kind of criticism. I appreciate more open-mindedness, and attention to the actual story.
Too much coughing and clearing of throat. Also, the Australian tendency to.upspeak is intolerable to listen to. Avoid.
Well-researched and delivered long-form content with interesting special topics. Creator cancelled my Patreon membership because I objected to very unfair hate speech by another member directed at all Democrats and leftists in the wake of Charlie Kirks murder. As a Democrat who abhors violence and condemns his murder my “crime” was to advocate dialing it down and being kind. It seems insane to object to that but apparently she agrees with the other member and only wants members who are extremist... more
