Jeff, great content. POD way better when you have a guest and you don’t literally read from a script.

  • Great Eagles Pod

Great pod with Olivia, Jeff. Keep digging on what was going on with Stoutland and Sirianni during the season. The run blocking looked confused at times, it wasn’t just bad health sinking the running game. I can’t believe Lurie moved on from Stoutland and handed the keys to Mannion by design.

  • Wannabe podcasters and not much reporting

I initially tuned in for more reporting on the eagles but it’s turned into wannabe podcasters. There’s more opinion than reporting, and of what is reported there’s a lot of biased “reporting” on what’s happening with the eagles. Not much value to the pod anymore. There’s a constant dissing of players and coaches that I think is unprofessional for reporters particularly when not stating what is their opinion. Marcus Hayes and Mike silver offered no real value in the last few pods. And if i wanted... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Last ride for the vets on offense? | What the Eagles' offseason strategy is signaling
Q: From your vantage point, Jeff, what do you make of what the Eagles have done in free agency and so far this offseason?
Mike argues that the Eagles have stayed true to a core-building strategy, emphasizing depth and homegrown talent instead of chasing high-priced moves, while acknowledging the need to address edge rush and safety in upcoming drafts and trades.
Albert Breer forecasts free agency
Q: How does the cap situation influence whether they extend Jalen Carter or Jordan Davis?
Extensions would need safeguards around guaranteed money and performance incentives, given Carter's off-field questions and the need to preserve leadership and locker room dynamics; Davis could fetch $12-15 million annually if he expands his rushing impact, but both decisions hinge on long-term value and character considerations.
Albert Breer forecasts free agency
Q: What could the Eagles do if they can't afford Jalen Phillips and still want a premier edge rusher?
If Phillips is out of reach, the Eagles would look at other high-end edge players (e.g., Crosby, OA, Pay) and potentially pivot to plan B through trades or using draft capital, balancing immediate impact with cap flexibility and long-term option value.
Albert Breer forecasts free agency
Q: What do you think it will take to wrestle AJ. Brown away from the Eagles and or the willingness of other teams to meet the demands or maybe meet them in the middle?
The Eagles view AJ Brown in terms of a compensation package that could resemble a one and a top-100 pick with potential conditional enhancements, depending on how the negotiation unfolds and how teams value his production and age. This would likely be a significant deal, with teams considering the tradeoffs of future contracts and cap space.
What do Jeffrey Lurie and Howie Roseman really think of Nick Sirianni?
Q: What was your takeaway from that moment?
It was a clumsy moment from Howie, mainly because it was unsolicited and unnecessary since Sirianni's job was secure after signing a big contract.
