Shaun Ilten from preparing LA Galaxy's stage for the FIFA World Cup to building a tournament in the desert

No major changes; we apply what we know from Galaxy and national team coaching expectations, maintain regular workflows, and adapt as schedules require.

Q: You've got Paraguay, Iran, Switzerland coming, plus likely two Group winners entering. How do you handle the variability in team needs?
We rely on our hands-on experience, coach feedback, and year-to-year adjustments to ensure surfaces meet elite standards, then fix issues on the spot if needed.
Hands on the turf, eyes on the Premier League. Paul Chaloner's journey with Wrexham AFC
Q: What investments have been most transformative for the club's facilities and capabilities?
Investments included a CIS pitch, under-soil heating, electric-powered equipment, four Dennis products, lighting rigs, and new sheds/welfare facilities, plus a fibre pitch and academy expansion planned after Easter.
Hands on the turf, eyes on the Premier League. Paul Chaloner's journey with Wrexham AFC
Q: What was the biggest challenge when you took over the stadium and training ground, and how did you address it?
Finances were tight after relegation, so I had an assistant and we reallocated machinery between the stadium and training ground while building systems to improve operations and decision-making.
