This pod has great potential. The guys are like able and knowledgeable on so many levels. But too much time spent talking about nothing (some is good). More analysis on the games would be great.
As soon as I saw the lads had done a Sir Bobby pod I knew it’d be fantastic. Would recommend any United fan, young or old, to have a listen to stories of a brilliant player and even better person. As a mid 30s lad born south of London, naturally I supported United (I still bare the number 7 tattoo because of King Eric), I’m so grateful to Sir Bobby for instilling the passion to play for United, especially into the class of ’92 (my era). Thank you gents for such an incredible pod and thank you Si... more
One of the best United podcasts around. Always balanced, well sourced and entertaining. Recently feels as though the live shows are getting in the way of podcast frequency, which is a shame. Several times the pod has been late to big news because the team are preparing for, travelling to, or taking part in live shows. Losing its ability discuss trending topics in a timely manner isn’t a great look for a sports podcast.
Have listened to many United focused podcasts over the years, but this is by far the best. They clearly like being in each others company, and they do challenge each other, which is important. Yes, some of the content is cheesy, and they over do the constant cocktail/maltesar jokes, but the inside track they have on players and the such makes this so engaging.
TOTDs struggles without Carl as the Andy and Laurie lack any sort of critical eye for our players and performances. Post Bayern episode a classic example. About 4 minutes of platitudes before MOVING ON. Just no understanding whatsoever of what is contributing to our performances. more
