  • Getting steadily worse

Used to like this podcast and hope it will get better but excessive ads (opening 4.5 mins) and an annoying, and excessively expletive co-host (Daniel) have began to dilute the quality

  • The best Manchester United podcast

By and far the best Manchester United podcast. The host and his regular rotation of guests cover United from a variety of perspectives, discussing the football, business and cultural aspects of the club with deep knowledge, healthy realism and a large amount of humour (often gallows humour, considering the state of the club at times). The show feels authentic and genuine, and nails the balance of being realistic and harsh when it’s called for without feeling like they get off on yelling about Un... more

  • Croke park

This is the reason why football not played until recently

Yes — British Crown forces opened fire on civilians at Croke Park on 21 November 1920 during the Irish War of Independence. It happened during a Gaelic football match between Dublin and Tipperary. A mixed force of RIC, Auxiliaries, and military entered the ground and fired into the crowd. 14 people were killed (including player Michael Hogan) and many more were injured.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Mailbag: Owners, Transfers, Carrick and Pokemon!
Q: If Bruno leaves after the World Cup emotional hangover, where do we even start recreating him in the aggregate?
The hosts agree that replacing Bruno would be nearly impossible given his unique contributions, and they suggest letting him run his contract down even if a large offer comes in.
Mailbag: Owners, Transfers, Carrick and Pokemon!
Q: Is Sir Jim Ratbag a massive bell end? Can his reputation recover should we let someone like this raise Old Trafford?
The hosts express disappointment with Ratcliffe's comments on colonialism and critique his management decisions since taking ownership, implying distrust in his leadership.
Mailbag: Owners, Transfers, Carrick and Pokemon!
Q: At which point do we accept that this ownership likes the means and will get seriously competing again?
The ownership likely doesn't have the will, but Ratcliffe and the injection of capital do have both the means and will to improve the club's situation.
Free Kobbie Mainoo?
Q: What's your reaction to today's news about Kobbie Mainoo?
It's very hard to take it as real news, especially coming from someone not as well respected in the journalism community.
Mailbag: Casemiro, United Women, Transfers, Ticket Prices
Q: How should we feel about the recent performance of the women's team?
It was an incredible performance, especially coming off a disappointing recent match, and it signifies progress for the women's team.
