  • Great Show, Great Hosts

Love the show, it’s easy listening while I drive for work. The hosts are funny and it’s like learning about tanks from some friends, well if my friends knew anything about tanks. Love the beer reviews as well. To the babies crying about too much politics stuff it you fascist pricks. Cheers from Wisconsin

  • Review by tank enthusiast

I like the podcast I like the tank I like the humor I like the detail in the tanks, but there is one thing that in my opinion could be replaced the politics talk. now I like current events, and I like listening to the news and politics, but in my opinion unless it’s politics related to the tanks history they don’t deserve to be in a military podcast, but other than that, I love it

  • Meh

Poor. Constant laughing makes this unlistenable. I’m sure there are gems buried beneath Beavis & Butthead style chat, but I’m unfortunately not going to wait to find out. Sorry.

  • Perfect series to binge on my commute

Great informative podcast that I found a few weeks ago. I’ve listened to over half your episodes already and it’s a blast.

The hosts are funny even if they ramble a bit occasionally.

I started skipping beer reviews but they’re actually pretty fun.

That being said they do tend to push politics a little harder than I like. It’s not something that I’ll stop listening over, but it’s honestly not necessary and detracts from the overall great environment they’ve created here.

    On another note, I’... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

80 - Multi-Turret Tanks - Too Much of a Good Thing
Q: What made Miktila/Mektila such a significant battle in the Burma campaign?
It represented a rare instance of high-level, integrated brigade-group maneuver where armored, infantry, artillery, and air power were brought together under a consolidated command with a strong logistical backbone, allowing rapid exploitation of gains and the capture of a critical river crossing.
76 - Panzer II - Tour De France Champion
Q: So you spent a year maintaining a whole bunch of tanks, driving a whole bunch of tanks, and can you tell us which one you hated the most and which one you loved the most?
My favorite is the Leopard 1, as it's easy to maintain and amazing to drive. I wasn't fond of the T-72 due to its complexity.
53 - M24 Chaffee - The Voting Machine.
Q: Can you tell us about the M24 Chaffee's design features?
The M24 Chaffee was designed as a light tank with a crew of four, and it featured a 75mm M6 gun, a hydromatic transmission, and a relatively low profile design for better maneuverability.
54 - Type 99 - The Red Wave.
Q: What is the operational range of the Type 99A?
The operational range is 600 km with an internal fuel tank, plus an additional 200 km using external fuel drums.
59 - TR-85 - The Romanian Bison
Q: What does the Romanian economy look like today?
There's been a move towards reindustrialization while still valuing agriculture, but past deindustrialization efforts have created challenges.
