…or at the house of a childhood friend. This podcast truly captures what it’s like to be a Filipino American who’s knowledgeable, concerned, and interested in their community while also reserving the space necessary to bust their own and each other’s chops. Salamat for presenting a vibrant range of the Filipino-American experience.
This show is great. Learning a lot about West Coast Filipino Americans.
But, can you do some shows involving the history of Filipino Americans on the East Coast?
Would like to know more about Filipino Americans on the East Coast their history and maybe some interviews.
This show makes me feel like I’m sitting down having chisme with my ates and kuyas. I love the family dynamic and Filipino insider jokes (I laughed so hard at the tinna-pie joke in the thanksgiving episode 🤣🤣🤣) Salamat to the hosts for being so funny and for creating a comfortable space for us lahat.
Since moving away from my family and LA for college and eventually a career in biomedical research, I’ve grown quite homesick and more curious about my roots and the experiences of other Filipino Americans. I love the humor , but the serious dives into exploring topics unique to our culture has been revealing and helped with healing. I’ve laughed and I’ve cried. But most of all, I’ve felt seen. Thank you for all your work and being a beacon for our communities.
