  • Pointless Yapping

At one point MIB nicely filled demand for a solid football podcasts. But now with plenty of podcasts with superior analysis—e.g., The Guardian’s—MIB pales in comparison with its pointless banter and nonsensical detours.

  • Balo owns you

I don’t like the pushing the storyline/agenda of a us wc is illegitimate because our striker got to play in a game after he was unjustly red carded in the middle of the tournament. That’s some loser baby behavior. And suspiciously selective about when and what rules you think should actually be enforced. Bad look for you soccer pundits.

  • The World Cup of Delirious

This might be the podcast I've listened to the longest and I'm never not entertained - I mean how could anyone not be entertained because there's a pod for everyone. Rog has consistently been the most positive, delightfully poetic of hosts, and I loved it even before Rory was the confirmed second host, but since that has happened, this World Cup has truly provided a shining light on their wonderful chemistry and friendship. Through the hours of traveling, the ill-advised but truly appreciated (c... more

  • Got worse

Men in Blazers has lost what made it special. It used to offer excellent Premier League coverage, thoughtful interviews, and genuinely funny banter. Now it’s mostly forced comedy, relentless USMNT hype, repeated reminders of how “American” Rog is, and far too many ads. Rory Smith is the only reason I’m not giving it one star. More Rory, less Rog.

Q: What was the hardest thing for you, Brendan, about refashioning the show to focus on the world of women's football?
