  • Nice Try Kudos to Mr. Howard

The show started well and bright. Insights into preparation for and playing in group stage were excellent. I appreciated the perspective of both Mr. Donovan and Mr. Howard until the USA USA USA was knocked out. Then, unfortunately, Mr. Donovan reverted to his well-known “I Problem”: I did this, I did that, and so on and on and on. Tiresome. Too bad. I guess I tuned in expecting something different. Oh well. One more thing: Mr. Donovan made it clear in the post-final show that he had a hangover a... more

  • Really insightful for USMNT and footie fans

Honestly I wasn’t always an LD fan. Loved what he did for us but thought he was offputting. But having spent time listening to him on US, I think he has some of the very best takes of any commentator today. He is brutally honest but he is honest. I love his perspectives. Timmy is great too but I really enjoy hearing LD the most. They are a great duo. Every USMNT fan should subscribe to this pod.

  • Thanks boys

My two favorite soccer stars representing the US for the last - jeez, two decades. This has nothing to do with the podcast - the one thing I don’t understand is that soccer isn’t more popular in the US. It’s cheaper than all other sports - it’s a ball and grass. But then there’s the money question. Off the soapbox.

  • Love the podcast but…

Ok so we love the podcast but have a huge issue with the AUDIO engineering. Guys please listen back to your own show. Is it reverb? Not sure honestly, all I know is its annoying. It feel too low and too loud at the same time??

Promotion/Relegation in America & Arsenal Look Unstoppable | Unfiltered Soccer
Q: How would a three-tier promotion/relegation system practically work in the U.S., and what are the major hurdles to launch?
The plan envisions Premier, Championship, and League One with a staged start, careful consideration of stadium standards and financial sustainability, and gradual expansion of promoted teams while preserving the business health of clubs. The system would need alignment with US Soccer, solid TV contracts, and a balanced schedule to maintain competitiveness.
Promotion/Relegation in America & Arsenal Look Unstoppable | Unfiltered Soccer
Q: From a development standpoint, is it better for a promising young player to stay in MLS Next Pro, or should they seek higher-level competition even if it means less consistent minutes?
There is no one-size-fits-all answer; the best path depends on individual development needs, but playing against older, tougher competition in USL or similar environments can accelerate growth, while MLS Next Pro may suit some players who need first-team exposure in their own ecosystem.

World Cup Final Predictions: Spain-Argentina, Messi Magic & Landon’s Pulisic Response | Unfiltered Soccer
