  • Must listen

The one and only podcast I made sure to listen to every day throughout the entire World Cup, the two of you do a great job at providing anecdotal tidbits, great analysis, and some fun pop culture moments. Love the pod and hope to keep listening after the World Cup wraps.

  • When someone likes to hear himself speak

I was a fan at the beginning of the pod years ago. Lately, and actually for several months now? I started to feel I was hearing someone that just likes to hear himself speak. Like a Pharisee, Alexi is a verbal bully and you can never notice it in how Mosi treads lightly when talking to him and agreeing in pretty much everything he says. It’s like hearing a bully make an insane take and asking his pet if he agrees with him. I know this is drama for the sake of entertainment. But I have grown so d... more

  • Almost listened and then I remembered

Many years ago, I was a regular follower. And then you came on one day and started throwing the F word around like you had found a great toy to play with, and I walked away from you and all the other podcast for the soccer teams, both men and women. There were also incident on the team that caused me to just turn my back walk away. I can’t remember who it was, but somebody cold chalk the player in the back of the head just as the game was starting. I said I’m not gonna have any more part with th... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

LIVE Reaction to the USA's 4-1 victory over Paraguay
Q: Who do you pick for man of the match if you have to pick someone?
Balogun would be the likely pick for man of the match due to his two goals and the energy he brought, though there were several standout performances, including McKennie and Pulisic.
U.S. World Cup X Factors, Pepi on fire, the legend of Cobi Jones
Q: What would be the shock inclusion for the World Cup roster and could a teenager break through?
They propose a few younger players could be involved as fringe selections, but emphasize that an experienced defender or a goaltender could be more impactful; likely a young player would need to show exceptional readiness in MLS or Europe.
U.S. World Cup X Factors, Pepi on fire, the legend of Cobi Jones
Q: Mike from Brooklyn asks about the two friendlies against Senegal and Germany and what they mean for the squad.
The hosts suggest these warmups are valuable for testing players but warn injuries can derail plans; results matter less than how players perform and how the coaching staff evaluates the roster coming into the World Cup.
USA All-Time World Cup Best XI, Pepi > Balogun & who steps up for Johnny?
Q: Based on Christian Pulisic's current form, should the team be built around Balogun or Pepi?
The hosts acknowledge Balogun as the incumbent striker but concede Pepi's rising form keeps him in the starting conversation; the consensus leans toward a platoon approach rather than a single focal point, with tactical flexibility depending on the opponent.
Tab Ramos on Pulisic's woes, Chris Klein on Galaxy exit & more
Q: What are the biggest challenges hosting World Cup games in multiple cities?
Meg Kane explains the tension between global FIFA expectations and the local Philadelphia experience, focusing on safety, transportation, FanFest, and city-specific branding to ensure authenticity while meeting global standards.
