  • Brene Brown: The Rage Bucket Theory

This was such a great episode. Trevor and friends always go deep, but the amount of really exploring and sharing of ideas here was wonderful! Thank you to all of you!! And we need another episode with BB and an update on her teaching Eugene pickle ball!! lol

  • Feel represented

I have always loved this podcast, from its inception. I think having Eugene has been very freeing for me as a South African. I love hearing about what’s happening in the US and all around the world because it really opens your mind up. Hearing even the slightest bit of what is happening in current South Africa makes me feel seen. Thank you Trevor. Keep shining. Always a 5 star podcast

  • Great podcast, fix the editing

This podcast is one of my favorites. I think the interviews are excellent and the questions insightful. Plus we get to hear from a wide range of people and perspective, which is great.

However, the editing of this show has been a mess! Clips repeat, some seem to get placed out of order and it really creates a frustrating listening experience.

  • A falling standard. It had started so well

The podcast began as a rare blend of wit, intellectual curiosity, and genuine conversation, setting a standard few podcasts could match. Trevor’s professionalism, insight, and humour once elevated every guest interaction, but the increasing prominence of co-host Eugene has shifted the tone toward immature, low-brow humour that too often undermines thoughtful discussion. While the chemistry of a close friendship is evident, the podcast now frequently mistakes inside jokes and silliness for substa... more

Meet Wil Sylvince - My Favorite People
Q: How did Wil first get into comedy?
He was inspired after meeting Dougie Doug and performing at the Uptown Comedy Club in Harlem, where a rough first set led him to rethink his material and approach, eventually finding a breakthrough and deciding to pursue stand-up more seriously.
Oobah Butler: The Digital Mirage
Q: Where did you grow up and what early experiences shaped your approach to storytelling?
Butler describes growing up in Feckinham and early jobs in bars and restaurants, which exposed him to customer psychology, review culture, and the power of narrative. These experiences informed his gonzo journalism style and later stunts.
Dex Hunter-Torricke: Translating the Titans of Tech
Q: What did you try to advocate for while at Facebook/Meta?
I pushed for more aggressive actions on disinformation and for using tech's scale to advance human rights and development, including attempts to bring high-profile leaders like Zuckerberg into dialogue with the UN to explore connectivity as a human right.
Dex Hunter-Torricke: Translating the Titans of Tech
Q: What changed your view about Facebook/Meta and the role of tech platforms?
Seeing how platforms could be central to shaping public discourse and influencing real-world outcomes, especially around disinformation and disconnection, shifted my view from tech optimism to recognizing a governance problem that needed urgent attention.
Atsuko Okatsuka: Can You Ever Really Go Home Again?
Q: When did you realize you could turn your experiences into stand‑up?
After a boyfriend encouraged her to try, and a stand‑up class provided structure and a launchpad, she realized there was material and confidence to pursue it.
