A wonderful balance of show commentary, actor insights and education about the issues facing indigenous people in Alaska. So incredibly moving, stirring, thought-provoking… can’t find the right words but well worth the listen.
Found the series quite moving. Haunting even. It gave me a reminder that women struggle all over the world and in this case even worse for indigenous women. I appreciate this being highlighted to spread awareness.
Found this podcast through Tenderfoot, and followed it right through to watching season 4. No regrets. I was put off by True Detective season 1, and I would not have given it a second shot if these discussions hadn’t tipped me off that season 4 would be a totally different experience. The thoughtfulness behind the storytelling and the ability to tell a harrowing story with humanity and hope was excellent. HBO’s been outdoing itself in hiring great storytellers.
Yawn. Made for fans of a tv show. Boring. Convert the stores to podcast stories.
Worthless unless one has watched the tv show.
Won’t be listening. Don’t have hbo or tv
Each season got better and better. I love how creative the stories were. And I love following along with the podcast.
