  • The best supply chain podcast

A great supply chain podcast. Short but thorough and very interesting topics. Some supply chain podcasts are a bunch of buzz words and no actual meat, this one does not follow that mold.

How to Stop AI From ‘Running Loose’ in the Supply Chain
Q: Justin, what do we mean when we say that agentic AI is basically running loose?
Agentic AI is moving rapidly and being deployed without bounded workflows or sufficient guardrails, allowing it to operate with a broad scope that users may not fully control or understand, which can lead to data leakage, hallucinations, or flawed decisions. The fix is to start with narrow use cases and establish governance.
Cybersecurity in Manufacturing: Is AI the Solution, or the Problem?
Q: What are the biggest issues confronting manufacturers today adopting AI?
Key issues include visibility into what is happening with AI across the organization, the rapid pace of adoption, and the challenge of securing data, monitoring systems, and audits across an expanding technology stack.
Cybersecurity in Manufacturing: Is AI the Solution, or the Problem?
Q: Who exactly did you survey for the report?
The speaker explains they survey IT infrastructure and cybersecurity professionals within highly regulated manufacturing contexts, focusing on data security and governance. The discussion emphasizes manufacturing as a regulated target and the importance of professionals who manage cybersecurity in these environments.
Is This the ‘Year of the Humanoid Robot’?
Q: What kind of industries are seeing the greatest acceptance for these robots right now?
The guest notes strong adoption in logistics and manufacturing, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in moving heavy boxes and automating repetitive tasks.
Is This the ‘Year of the Humanoid Robot’?
Q: Thank you so much for joining me. So, Chris, is this indeed the year of the humanoid robot? And if so, why?
Chris explains that humanoids are advancing due to AI and vision capabilities, allowing them to learn and execute missions beyond pre-programmed tasks, with growing industrial and home-use applications.
