This episode was so powerful and important for me. There can be so much information about things to change especially related to diet when trying to conceive. I began feeling incredibly overwhelmed. As someone with a history of an eating disorder I found this episode very helpful and it grounded me in what I know is best for my body and my long term recovery especially while TTC. I loved hearing Sammie’s perspective and what she teaches and Allie as always, does a tremendous job facilitating a g... more
I found a wonderful community when struggling with primary infertility but was struggling to find a community during this secondary infertility journey. I felt like people didn’t get it because I should be happy I have one kid. Each episode does a great job speaking to different aspects of the journey; I feel so seen. I have even shared with family members who have changed how they interact with me (for the better) because of listening. I can’t find the words to explain it to others but Allie an... more

What an amazing resource for any Mama going through secondary infertility. As a therapist, this is such an amazing podcast to provide my clients as well as my own personal friends who have and are on this journey. Allie is so warm and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this podcast!
Allie and her resources between Holding Both + this podcast are truly a gift to women. I am not a mother but I am a friend and family member to many women that are currently or have experienced challenges on their pathway to motherhood through infertility and loss. Allie’s compassion and dedication to this space is awesome, and the podcast is another layer to support those of us going through a particularly hard part in life. I was literally hiding tears on an airplane after listening to episode 3, part of that discussion really hit home. Thanks Allie for what you do!
Allie and I have connected through the loss mama community and have bonded over our shared friendship and now we’re both podcasters! I am so proud of what she’s doing and adding to this community. I can’t wait to see where this adventure takes her. All I know is that she’s going to go far with the vulnerability and realness I’ve already heard so far.
Listening to Allie’s story and the guests on her show has so validating and would be encouraging for someone going through either primary and secondary infertility. Looking forward to new episodes!
Navigating what it means to be a mom to a living child while battling infertility and your a desire to build your family comes with so many complexities and nuances. I found @holdingboth on Instagram and immediately felt like I found a place where I could relate. Allie is super down to earth and thoughtful in her conversations. So excited for more episodes.
As a mom who experienced secondary infertility 30 years ago there was no platform of support, at that time, for the fear, frustration, dashed hopes, sadness, and expenses that came with the inability to get pregnant a second (and third) time. Treatment was costly, time consuming, painful, lonely, and unsuccessful until it was successful, IF it was successful. And we certainly didn't talk about it. There were many dynamics Allie brought up that I never really thought about or sat with at the tim... more
