For the last six seasons, host John Leary has asked his celebrity guests the 10 questions from the quiz (written by Cindy MacDonald) published in The Saturday Paper and they do their best to answer them correctly. It ain't rocket science - but the questions very well might be!

I enjoy this show every week- the host is so polite and encouraging. Guests vary and are so often funny. Listen!!!
Oh Johnny Leary…. The care in which you gently guide your guests to find the right answer is touching, even though we are screaming the correct into the speaker… you take their hand, and get them to where they need to be…
Not ever. Love it.
Tell your friends. They’ll thank you for it.
Fun idea with interesting people; however, I’m not sure they are listening to episodes before letting them loose. Often it sounds like they havent done a microphone or sound level checks before recording the show. You often can’t hear one of the guests very clearly which can be annoying- especially when they have the correct answer.
Hopefully they’ll do this in the future.
This podcast was on high rotation to keep my spirits up during a massive house move and I’ve been listening to it ever since. Scratches my trivia itch in a fun, anti-competitive way. Thanks John!!

The show centers on a hosted trivia format where celebrity and arts guests take on a fixed set of questions drawn from a literary-quiz publication. The host guides conversation with light banter, personal anecdotes, and hints as guests navigate a mix of pop culture, theatre, and general knowledge trivia. Episodes often blend entertainment with behind-the-scenes theatre stories, creating a warm, conversational vibe that feels like spending Saturday morning with friends while testing knowledge across a broad range of topics. A notable strength is the guest variety—seasoned actors, writers, comedians, and theatre professionals frequently participate—which keeps the fare fresh and engaging for fans of culture, performance, and trivia alike.
