I had a remarkable conversation with David on his podcast. I explored concepts and articulated some thoughts that I hadn't before - and that's so precious. Thanks David.

  • Remarkable People Podcast with Rob Wolf MD, Author 4 Award-Winning “Not a Real Enemy”

Dave is a well informed and engaging host. He makes the conversation flow smoothly and asks the right questions. He also brings up questions that may be unanswerable, a real challenge. I love his devotion to and respect for the Bible, both Old and New Testaments. We covered a lot, including the current wars, protests, and the necessity to understand and combat hatred.

Now a fellow Floridian, he is a true professional, top to bottom. I look forward to the upcoming release of our conversation. R... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Failure Factory: Chris Papst on Exposing the Corruption in Public Education
Q: What is the fundamental flaw in how public schools are funded in Maryland?
Funding is based on enrollment, not learning outcomes, which creates incentives to enroll more students rather than to educate them effectively.
Brea Segger | Somatic Emotional Release: Healing Subconscious Patterns & Finding Freedom
Q: What are the practical problems clients bring to you and what does a somatic release enable them to do?
Clients commonly struggle with looping thoughts and self-sabotage; somatic release helps them feel safe at a deep internal level, so their nervous system can calm and their patterns can shift without relying solely on the mind or willpower.
Brea Segger | Somatic Emotional Release: Healing Subconscious Patterns & Finding Freedom
Q: You hear so many people talk and they'll throw out terms, like somatic or release. How do you define somatic release?
Somatic release is the closest terminology I could find to describe my work; it isn't about waving hands or flashy energy work but about being a presence that allows the client's nervous system to recalibrate by safely engaging with their own body, emotions, and energy.
Kohila Sivas: Owning Your Narrative and Taking Ultimate Control of Your Brain
Q: But for the people who are listening that are contemplating potentially suicide, what advice do you have for them that you learned from your experience to be encouraged by it?
Question the thoughts that come up, examine who those thoughts are affecting, realize you are not defined by them, and move toward steps like breathing, coming into the present, and building a sacred circle to restore hope and purpose.
Kohila Sivas: Owning Your Narrative and Taking Ultimate Control of Your Brain
Q: But if you guarantee them one thing that they can take and apply to their lives, what is that?
Own your narratives and your brain, because you have ultimate control over it; you can choose to question and reframe what it tells you, creating a path to clarity and a better life.
