  • Honest company

I enjoy their information and find it to be specific to pilot concerns. They’re very responsive to questions, and I was impressed when I approached them and took advantage of the chance to get a free call—they were completely honest and said I didn’t need their services, since I was already doing what they’d tell me to do and on track. Most folks would’ve just taken my money, but they answered a couple questions and told me they were there if I ever wanted. THAT is a company I’ll work with if th... more

  • Outstanding

Trusted these folks for years with my money. They understand the pilot financial situation with-respect-to contract, benefits, insurance, etc. It’s been great to find someone who I can trust with this, so that I can focus on other things in this short life. Highly recommend!

  • Entertaining and meaningful perspectives

I’m definitely enjoying the airline and military pilot perspective on the financial landscape.

As the major airlines and cargo carriers are achieving new contracts, many pilots are realizing the opportunity to use a market based cash balance plan. It’d be great if you all could do a podcast discussing how they work, what the benefits are, and who ought to opt in to a MBCBP.

    Thanks for all you do.

  • 1 & Done… These guys, they’re a JOKE!

Just listened to my 1st episode. It’ll be my last. These guys share little to no financial knowledge or insight. They have obviously done little to no research on the financial vehicles they discuss. It’s so frustrating, they’re obviously “mailing it in” in an attempt to capture business. I would never in a million years trust their advice.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Flight #127: Cutting Through the Financial Noise: Inflation, Energy, Bitcoin, and the Global Economy with James Angel
Q: How might stable coins interact with existing financial systems and regulations?
Stable coins create a new payment rail that could improve cross-border and online payments, but regulation is still evolving, including debates over whether issuers should be regulated like banks or securities, and how much interest they can pay.
Flight #127: Cutting Through the Financial Noise: Inflation, Energy, Bitcoin, and the Global Economy with James Angel
Q: What exactly is a stable coin, in layman's terms?
A stable coin is a digital dollar-like asset that you can transfer instantly around the world, serving as a convenient way to hold dollars in crypto form while leveraging a supposed dollar backing, with regulatory questions about how safe that backing really is.
Flight #128: Master Your Money Mindset for Long-Term Wealth with Jason Moore
Q: What practical steps can a pilot take to start changing money habits today?
Create three-stage buying rules, automate savings, run regular debriefs on net worth and budget, and build a trusted team while maintaining accountability and verification to prevent overreliance on any single advisor.
Flight #128: Master Your Money Mindset for Long-Term Wealth with Jason Moore
Q: What inspired you to combine financial therapy with traditional financial planning for pilots?
Jason explains that many high achievers benefit from understanding money psychology; therapy concepts help identify and manage money scripts, biases, and emotional triggers, leading to better financial decisions even if formal therapy isn't necessary for everyone.
Flight #131: Do You Really Need an LLC? Tax Myths, Red Flags, and Business Structure Explained
Q: What does an LLC actually do in terms of taxes, and is it a tax shelter?
An LLC is primarily an asset-protection vehicle; tax outcomes depend on how you elect to be taxed (e.g., pass-through, S-Corp, or C-Corp). It's not a guaranteed tax saver and requires making money to realize real tax benefits; complexity should be introduced only when there is real business activity and profits.
