  • Waffle!

Wow. I can barely get through the first episode. There is 10 minutes of waffle and self congratulation before we hear anything about the case! This podcast would benefit from a good editor.

  • Is it done

This ended abruptly after 7 episodes. “We’ll be back with more and wash your hands.” (It was in the middle of the pandemic). And then poof, nothing.

  • No the best

The different host voices was great.. I just wish there was more of a story …instead of the way they presented the info… but I listened to all the episodes because I really wanted to know what really happened to this young lady.

So repetitive. They just repeat the same things over and over and over. Interesting case, but I’ll look for it elsewhere.

9 - Mindhunting the Sheila Shepherd Case w/ Michael Arntfield
Q: How can investigators connect murders to the same killer, especially across jurisdictions?
The FBI's VICAP program is designed for this, though it's often underused. It compiles data on specific behaviors and can identify patterns across different jurisdictions, although in practice, it's not frequently utilized effectively.

Q: What does covering a murder victim indicate about the killer?
Covering the face is correlated with 'undoing', indicating a psychological state of remorse or distress by the offender, suggesting they may have known the victim or are inexperienced.

Q: Can you tell us your thoughts on hold back evidence?
Hold back evidence is important because it prevents the suspect from knowing what the police are withholding, while still allowing the police to vet tips and confessions. After time, investigators must evaluate which information can be released to stimulate the offender or get useful tips.
