That woman is not forgivable. She had the same psychological perversions and was just as guilty as Bernardo. We all lost Lizzie. This podcast is irresponsible in how it presents her.

I just started listening to this podcast recently and was excited to keep listening but wasjust turned off by a vaping add. I’m considering unsubscribing just because of this but I’m not sure if they have a choice in which ads are played. I listen to a lot of different podcasts and have never heard vaping ads and I feel like the one I heard here was targeting a young audience by talking about the delicious fruity flavors and comparing it to soda. Big big turn off. I did hear a disclaimer on anot... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

27: Colonel Russell Williams: A Predator Above Suspicion
Q: What kind of feelings were you experiencing while you were with Jessica Lloyd that day?
The survivor's fear and the context of being watched by Williams are described, illustrating how he manipulated the moment and how the crime was intertwined with his ongoing control fantasies; Williams frames and minimizes the violence, while investigators emphasize the prolonged threat and the victim's suffering.
28: Son of Sam: Did David Berkowitz Act Alone?
Q: What did Berkowitz claim about accomplices when interviewed later on?
He claimed various times that there were accomplices and a larger network, but the evidence and the records consistently show he acted alone; his changing story reflects mythmaking rather than factual accountability.
23: John Wayne Gacy: What His Death Row Attorney Discovered
Q: Why is it important to separate myth from reality when discussing Gacy, and what did your investigation uncover about his true nature?
The guest emphasizes that the myth surrounding Gacy—clown, builder, and community figure—obscures a deeper pattern of predation, manipulation, and a clinical lack of genuine attachment, which the investigation seeks to reveal through records and expert insight.
23: John Wayne Gacy: What His Death Row Attorney Discovered
Q: How could you not ask these questions? What made this guy who he was, sitting in this little jail cell?
Karen Conti explains that understanding Gacy required looking beyond the surface and examining his attachment deficits, early abuse patterns, and psychopathic traits, which illuminate how his capacity for empathy was severely limited and how that shaped his actions.
22: The Happy Face Killer: Psychopathy, Control, and Confession
Q: How does psychopathy influence Jesperson's approach to his crimes?
Psychopathy shapes his grandiosity, lack of empathy, and impulsivity, making him crave attention, distort reality to fit his narrative, and act in the moment without meaningful regard for victims.
