I love true crime and I especially love cold cases. But this podcast isn’t for me. It’s nothing but monotone reading, like how that one kid in your high school class would read when the teacher called on them. It’s hard to listen to and harder still to keep up with the story since the presentation has nothing engaging about it.
This podcast is such a great follow up to ice cold case (also a great podcast). The show features a different cold case every episode and so far all of them have been super compelling and horrifying that they are still cold. Definitely a must listen
It’s a little difficult to follow a story that cuts and repeats and then cuts again. Perhaps it would be a good idea to ask your editor to check their work.
I am a bit picky when it comes to podcasts. I easily bail or fast forward specific parts. I absolutely love this podcast and look forward to every episode. There is a different note of empathy for the victim and isn’t self righteous, and comes without blame of law enforcement. I enjoy the balance and the matter of fact empathetic cadence.
This lady does a great job of telling these sad stories, and her soothing voice is perfect for a long walk around the neighborhood or on the treadmill. Thanks for this show, Madison!

Episodes connect dots across timelines, highlight investigative hurdles, and explore how advocacy and media attention can influence reopened leads and policy changes. The host brings empathy and a critical lens to long-running cases, often featuring family perspectives, law enforcement sources, and forensic or investigative context. A notable angle is the host's personal connection to a broader mission of elevating neglected cases, with a steady pace and narrative storytelling that keeps listeners engaged across a range of cases, from missing-person inquiries t... more
