  • So refreshing!

This podcast is literally a breath of fresh air after consuming most Western news media outlets including The New York Times, CNN, and others. They discuss issues from a unique perspective that no mainstream or left-wing or right-wing media covers. They are always asking the listener to question: Why do I believe this? Why do I believe in the imperialist agenda of the U.S.? Why do I believe in the righteousness of every Israeli action? Why do I think Palestinians and Iranians are sub-human and b... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How the Media Sold the Genocide in Gaza | Adam Johnson
Q: You discuss the trope of the President as helpless and deeply concerned. How did that framing develop, and why did media outlets keep pushing these 'angry Biden' stories even as policy didn't fundamentally change?
The trope served to distance the White House from its own material support for the war, while still maintaining a narrative that punished opponents of the war through guilt-by-association, creating a veneer of urgency and moral concern without altering actual policy.
How the Media Sold the Genocide in Gaza | Adam Johnson
Q: I wanted to start maybe at the beginning of your book, you kind of talk about Hamas and how they're covered in US media, particularly after October 7th. Can you talk about how it connects with what we saw during the war on terror in terms of that coverage?
The cover story adapted a plug-and-play narrative where Hamas was cast as an evil force in need of elimination, using familiar tropes from the war on terror to frame public opinion for revenge and a hardline approach, while ignoring more nuanced political and anti-colonial contexts.
Annemarie Jacir on Palestine 36 and the Power of Cinema
Q: What do you want the takeaway to be for the general audience?
I want viewers to connect to the film emotionally and recognize its universal themes about colonization.
Annemarie Jacir on Palestine 36 and the Power of Cinema
Q: What inspired you to make this film in particular?
I wanted to explore the biggest anti-colonial revolt in Palestine's history, which began in 1936.
Omar Barghouti: 20 years of BDS in the time of
Q: What do you envision for the future of BDS?
The hope is to dismantle apartheid and end the occupation, making the BDS movement unnecessary. Until that happens, the movement will continue escalating pressure and building alliances.
