I am an assistant principal and I love the topics that are chosen. However, in a typical 22 minute podcast, the listener might get 7-10 minutes of actual good research and advice with the remaining being filled with unnecessary fluff. These two are highly intelligent women which is why it is unfortunate that this intelligence disappears at the beginning and end of each podcast. Just unfortunate as I was rooting for you two.
I’ve been a long time follower of TMP, so I was thrilled when Christy and Karen decided to start a podcast! Each episode is so helpful and I love the organization of each episode. As someone who tends to overextend myself, the systems portion of each episode is especially helpful! Plus, I love laughing each episode during the witty banter portion!
I started listening to TMP in 2020 when I was working on my master’s in educational leadership. My professor at the time let me count listening to the podcast as hours for my principal internship. After finishing my program, I’ve continued to listen to the episodes often and always have great takeaways that I apply to my current job as an instructional coach. TMP podcast is a great resource for admins and aspiring admins. They offer insight on so many issues that are realistic and relevant to our day to day work. Whether you choose an episode relevant to a specific need or listen for them all, there’s plenty here for all admins!
