Absolutely love this podcast, so informative, so interesting especially as we get the hear the human stories and the sacrifices made, Lest We Forget ❤️
Pure gold, the historians put a ton of work visiting all the airfields, interviews families, witnesses of crashes and memorials, not to mention reading primary sources.
This is a great series. It really makes you understand what these young men faces say in day out. The detail is incredible. I volunteer at the 100th BG museum at Thorpe Abbotts. I hope you are going to visit us to do a future pod? We would be delighted to welcome you.
I just found this Podcast, and I must say it really puts me the listener right there with crews as their prepping for their missions. I recently learned my Uncle 2nd Lt Everett S. Anderson was stationed at Ridgewell from November of 1943 until 20 December 1943, he was was the Navigator on the B-17 42-5846 Tinker Toy, it was rammed on a mission to Bremen Germany intimately I was never flown again. Thank you for the great podcast, I look forward to hearing more.
I cannot get enough of these podcasts. The way Mr. Tasker and Mr. Peters tell these stories are always very thorough and thoughtful. As an American, we here are blessed with some great historians and great podcasts. But no one does it better than our friends and cousins from Great Britain. I look forward to more. Please keep them coming.
