Chewie, Mike, Brian, and Dirk have been talking about Magic: The Gathering on the internet for almost 10 years (at the time of this writing). Since there are so many shows about strategy and tournaments, these dorks focus on all the fun you can have with the game outside of that, from flavor to philosophy to game design to history to whatever else we can come up with. We're funny, we're serious ab... more

We pivoted away from our second Blizzard show to save Brian's mental health, but we'll do it very soon! Instead we're doing a DJC that starts with the titular question and just goes from there, as these shows tend to do. Also, I think Dirk talks more... more

You would think after like 8 years or whatever this show would have improved slightly in quality but it literally sounds the same as the very first episodes. Enjoy your Vaids, retards.
I have recently returned to mtg, and started listening to the last couple months of your podcast. You guys do a great job, but politics were brought up a couple of times in the first few episodes I listened to. Politics in a podcast about gaming is the FIRST thing that will make me turn a show off. Your MTG content is great when it is about MTG. So please keep it to just that. If you guys do I will continue to listen to you. But the next time I hear politics get brought into an entertainment... more

One of the longest running Magic The Gathering podcasts for many good reasons: the hosts are smart and funny, so they're fun to listen to; their views and thoughts are comfortably between casual and enthusiast, so you won't have to worry too much about getting lost trying to follow along even if it's been a while since you've even bought a booster pack.
It is, in fact, the jam. Particularly check out episodes 268 and 400.

A lively, long-running group focuses on the lighter, more culture-forward sides of Magic: The Gathering. Episodes span game design, history, flavor, and pop culture crossovers, with humor and strong banter among four core hosts who bring personal anecdotes from decades of MTG fandom. Notable strengths include approachable casual play topics, nostalgia for classic sets, and thoughtful commentary on trends and cross-media collaborations that keep conversations accessible to both new and veteran players. The show's charm likely lies in its balanced mix of game nerdiness, storytelling, and humor, making it appealing to listeners who want a friendly, social poker-table approach to MTG and gaming culture more broadly.
