When this podcast began the narrators were full of so much passion for the story they were reading. Lately the passion seems to have gone. Like most Stuff stuff, this cast swings between the confident, informed and even stylish journalism that is such a rarity in this country and the scourge of algorithm-driven struggle pieces that are the epitome of cringe. I can’t love it, but the best is good.
It’s wonderful having these long form pieces available in podcast format. Excellent listening.
